Scanned invoices and photos to Excel

Paper invoices and phone photos have no text layer, so they are read with OCR. OCR sometimes misreads a digit, which is why each document goes through the same check as a digital PDF: if one amount was misread, the lines and totals do not agree and you see it before exporting.

PDF, scans and photos (JPG, PNG), up to 4 MB each. Several at once.

Getting a good result

Scan at 300 dpi or take the photo straight from above with the whole page in the frame and no shadow across the numbers. JPG and PNG photos up to 4 MB work; HEIC photos from an iPhone need to be saved as JPG first.

Where the text is read

Each file is read by Mistral AI, a document AI provider based in France, and the result comes back to your browser. Neither the file nor the data is stored by us.

Prices in USD are approximate. Checkout charges the exact amount in USD at Stripe’s exchange rate (a 2–4% conversion fee is included), or in euros if you prefer. No VAT or sales tax is added. Monthly, cancel any month. A page is one PDF page or one image; documents in which nothing is found are not counted, and the same file is counted once.

Questions

Can it read handwriting?
Printed invoices give the best result. Handwritten amounts are often read correctly too, but check them; the totals check flags most misreads.
Do receipts work?
Yes. Receipts are read the same way; they often have no due date or line quantities, which is fine.
